Free Initial Consultation

This is a 15-30 minute consultation to gather more information about your child. This will help us prepare for a full evaluation, if warranted. During this time we will discuss your concerns, your child’s developmental history and goals for the evaluation and treatment plan.

Initial Evaluation

This is a 1-2 hour evaluation in which we will talk about family history, medical history, assess your child’s speech and language skills, and establish rapport with your child. During this time we will discuss a treatment plan, your treatment options, your family’s treatment goals and next steps. This evaluation can be completed in your home or at an agreed upon location in the community (E.g., public library). After this evaluation, you will be provided with a full write-up that shows your child’s scores, strengths, weaknesses, professional diagnoses (when applicable) and the treatment plan with goals.

Speech & Language Therapy

Treatment frequency and duration is based on your family’s goals combined with our professional opinion on your child’s treatment plan. Depending on the diagnosis, severity, and your individual child’s needs, we will decide together as a team how much and how often therapy should be scheduled to reach your child’s maximum potential.

Feeding Therapy

Meal time can be HARD! Let’s face it, our little ones are constantly learning, growing and changing! Meal time can be stressful if you are unsure how to navigate the feeding process. Feeding therapy can be helpful for nursing mamas or for the transition to table foods. It can also be helpful to alleviate the stress around mealtime. Feeding evaluations and therapy are available on a case-by-case basis. We will do a *free* initial consult to see if your feeding needs are something that can be addressed by a licensed speech-language pathologist to address oral motor concerns or establishing appropriate feeding patterns.

Parent Coaching

Parent Coaching can be helpful for a variety of reasons. Often times, parents need support during early childhood development (birth to 3 years of age). These first few years consist of many developmental changes that may be overwhelming. The goal of Parent Coaching is to teach you about early childhood milestones, provide you with strategies to help support your child’s growth and development, and empower you to feel confident to implement new strategies in your home. These coaching strategies will give you a platform to use a licensed professional to ask questions, get support, and get evidence-based resources to build a strong and healthy developmental foundation in your home.

It seems like the first few years of your child’s life are filled with MANY doctor’s appointments! Parent Coaching can be valuable to learn about what your child should be doing at each well-child visit and what will be asked at these doctors appointments. Parent Coaching is beneficial to learn more about children’s milestones and what YOU can ask your pediatrician if you think you have concerns about their development.

Sometimes, treatment is not needed as often but parents still would like support and/or resources to continue to build on their child’s language skills and facilitate further language development. Other times, we’ve reached a plateau in treatment and parents would like to take a break and work on communication in their home with support provided by a trained professional. These are two scenarios when Parent Coaching may be the best option. Parent Coaching will include weekly, biweekly or monthly sessions with a licensed speech-language pathologist to discuss the child’s progress. These sessions are used to support the parent on how to further the child’s speech and/or language skills. These sessions are usually 30-60 minutes weekly, biweekly or monthly.
